The Department of Political Science was set up in 1969 and Political Science (H) course was launched in 2002. The Department since its inception has been actively engaged in quality teaching and research in the theoretical and applied fields of political science. The department consists of ten qualified and dynamic faculties. The objective of the department of political science is to encourage the students for overall development. The department has been organising academic and extracurricular activities. Under the banner of PRERNA, Political Science Association, the department holds various events like debate, quiz, discussions, expert lectures, field survey etc. Department has been shaped by Prof. AS Narang, Dr RC Vermani and Prof. Sunil K Choudhary. The alumni of the Department are occupying good positions in their professional life.
