    Courses Taught

    The department offers the following courses under the NEP:UGCF 2020 CBCS scheme:
        • B. A. (Programme) (with Computer as one of the discipline):   The B.A. (Programme) course is a four year undergraduate course which is offered by the department. The course is offered in conjunction with other departments as the student has to select two disciplines as his/her streams. For admission into computer science, the student has to select Computer Science as one of his/her stream. In addition to this, every student, who has Computer Science as their discipline, can also opt Computer Science to be their Major as well. So, in this course, the students are taught the following papers
          • Discipline Specific Course (DSC): One Discipline paper is taught every semester all those students who have opted Computer Science as their stream irrespective whether Computer is their Major or not.
          • Discipline Specific Course (DSC) Major: One Discipline paper which is taught to those students only who have opted Computer as their Major.
          • Discipline Specific Elective (DSE): One Discipline paper will be offered to those students who have Computer Science as their Discipline from 3 rd Year onwards.

        • Generic Elective (GE): In addition to B.A. (Programme), the students are offered Computer Science as a Generic Elective option to all the Honors Courses students admitted in various B.A. (Honors) & B. Com. (Honors) from 1 st Year onwards. Furthermore, It is also offered to Programme Courses students admitted in various B.A. (Prog) & B. Com. (Prog) except for those B, A. (Prog) students who have Computer Science as their discipline, as per norms specified by the University.
        • Skill Enhancement Course (SEC): From the pool of SEC courses as specified by University, the Department of Computer Science offers various courses like Front-End Web Development, Document Preparation etc to all the students of the college.
        • Value Addition Course (VAC): The Department of Computer Science offers various courses like Digital Empowerment to all the students of the college, from the pool of VAC courses as specified by the University.
