Shyam Lal College (Evening) has a bunch of around 150 students who belong to North-Eastern corner of India. It looks like the College has a mini North-East cultural environment. Majority of them have been enrolled under B.A.(prog). In order to ensure their safety, apprehensions, cultural diversity, College has an association under the mentorship of Dr N. Haokip and Dr Manish Karmwar. Some of them reside nearby the College vicinity.
Apart from the academic involvement, they are also indulged in music and football team. The College team has over five North Eastern students. They actively take part in most of the college Societies’ and Associations’ activities. We also celebrate North-eastern cultural festival every year in the college. Their participation gives vibrant colours to the College and fellow students.
