Academics

InspirITi, the departmental society of Computer Science, was established in 2016. The name of the society InspirITi comes from the phrase “Inspire IT”. The objective of the society is to inspire the students so that they enhance the knowledge in the field of Computer Science. The society, in order to achieve its objective, provides a platform to the students of computer science for enhancing their knowledge. The society motivates them to develop and improve their personality. The society guides and prepares them for challenges in the real world.   The membership of the society is provided to all those students of the college, who are being taught a paper by the Computer Science Department. For the smooth functioning of the society, Office- Bearers are elected for various posts of the society. In addition to these elected representatives, the faculty of Department of Computer Science also partake in smooth working of the society as the society is under the ambit of the Department of Computer Science. Over the years, InsprITi has organised different types of events ranging from Talks to competitions like annual quizzes, poster making etc. These competitions can be intra-college or inter-college. The main purpose of these competitions is to develop an interest in subject areas of Computer Science. Cash prizes and certificates were awarded to the teams achieving 1st and 2nd position in the event. In addition, the society has been organizing an annual Intra College Fest AGON for nurturing the computer science skills of the students. AGON is organized by the office bearers of InsprITi under the guidance of teachers. This fest has various events running parallelly with each event having an individual event head to oversee it. These events will test either academic or extra-curriculasr facets or both of the participants. Every event winner and runner up are awarded. Over the years, the society has organised following events:

  •   2015-2016  
    • The society organised its first annual intercollege fiesta “AGON-2016” on 11th March 2016. More than 40 teams from various colleges and departments participated in the event, which was a grand success..
  •   2016-2017  
    • The society organized a Fresher’s Party for the First-Year students on 30th September 2016 which was a huge success. Mr. and Miss Fresher was awarded to First Year students.
    • The society held its first ever annual elections on 24th January 2017 for the selection of office-bearers. The elections were conducted successfully, with many students casting their vote.
    • On 28th February 2017, the society organized a Talk titled “The Road Ahead…” which focused on future prospects of the students.
    • On 3rd March 2017, an intra-college competition titled “Creativity in HTML” was organized by the society.
    • On 7th April 2017, the society successfully organized its Annual Inter-College Computer Fiesta, AGON 2017. 48 teams from more than six Colleges and Institutions participated in the event making it a grand success.
  •   2017-2018  
    • A Fresher’s Party for the First-Year students was organized on 29th September 2017 by the society which was a huge success. Mr. and Miss Fresher was awarded to First Year students.
    • The society held its annual elections on 24th January 2018 for the selection of office-bearers. The elections were conducted successfully, with many students casting their vote.
    • On 26th March 2018 the society organized an intra-college competition titled “Quiz-o-Mania”. The event was a huge success as 18 teams participated in the event.
    • The society successfully organized its 3rd Annual Inter-College Computer Fiesta, AGON 2018 on 16th April 2018. The event had teams participating from various Colleges and Institutions making it a grand success.
  • 2018-2019 
    • The society held its annual elections on 24th January 2019 for the selection of office- bearers. The elections were conducted successfully, with many students casting their vote.
  •  
    • The society organized an intra-college competition titled “Grappling DBMS” on 12th March 2019. 11 teams participated in the event, making it a success.
  •  
    • An intra-college competition titled “Quizzing Socially” was organized by the society on 26th March 2019. The quiz competition was based on social media where the participating teams had to go through three rounds to emerge victorious. In the event, 10 teams participated, making it a success.
  •  
    • On 09th April 2019, the society successfully organized its 4th Annual Intercollege Computer Fiesta, AGON 2019. The event had teams participating from various Colleges and Institutions making it a grand success. 
  • 2019-2020 
    • A Fresher’s Party for the First-Year students was organized on 18th October 2019 by the society which was a huge success. Mr. and Miss Fresher was awarded to First Year students.
  •  
    • The society held its annual elections on 28th January 2020 for the selection of office- bearers. The elections were conducted successfully, with many students casting their vote.
  • 2021-2022 
    • The Society organized its annual election on 08th February 2022. Under the guidance of Dr. Karan Gupta, the elections were conducted successfully with a voting percentage of more than 69%.
  • 2022-2023 
    • The Society organized (1) Memer’s Battle Ground (Meme Competition) and (2) Conferment Mania (Presentation Competition) in September 2022.
  • 2023-2024 
    • On 13th October 2023, the society organized its annual election for the selection of the office bearers. The election was conducted successfully, with many students turning up for voting.
  •  
    • On 07th November 2023, an intra-college competition titled “Creating Web” was organized by the society. It was a Web designing competition in which 13 teams participated, making the event a success. The teams achieving 1st and 2nd positions were awarded cash prizes and certificates were provided to all participants.
  •  
    • On 15th April 2024, the society successfully organized its 5th Annual Intercollege Computer Fiesta, AGON 2024, after a gap of five years. More than 60 participations entered into the Intercollege Computer Fiesta with more than 50% teams, being from outside the college, making the event a Grand Success. The fiesta consisted of events: Binary Banter, Byte Blitz, e-Canvas, Mind Meld and Typing Titans. The teams achieving 1st and 2nd position in each event were awarded cash prizes and certificates was provided to all participants.
