The two-day international conference Manthan 5.0 – 2026 was held on 27–28 March 2026 at the Sir Shankar Lal Concert Hall. The conference brought together eminent academicians, diplomats, and policymakers to deliberate on the civilizational idea of Vishal Bharat and its contemporary relevance.
The event was graced by Shri Indresh Kumar Ji as Chief Patron, whose presence underscored the national importance of the conference. The conference also featured distinguished keynote speakers and scholars from leading institutions across India.
A major highlight of the conference was the address delivered by our Respected Principal Prof. Nachiketa Singh, who presented a nuanced understanding of Vishal Bharat as a cultural and ecological continuum extending from the Iranian plateau to Southeast Asia. The address emphasized:
the role of geography, monsoon systems, and trade networks in shaping shared histories, the relevance of the Indian Knowledge System (Dharma, Karma, Ahimsa, Yoga, Ayurveda) in addressing global challenges such as climate change, and the importance of cultural memory and heritage preservation in a rapidly globalizing world.
Principal, Prof. Nachiketa Singh also highlighted the critical role of youth in nation-building and in carrying forward India’s civilizational ethos, making the address both academically enriching and forward-looking.
The conference was organized by the Forum for Awareness of National Security (FANS) in collaboration with leading academic institutions including Vivekananda Global University, with knowledge partners such as the Centre for Himalayan Studies and the Nelson Mandela Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution, JMI.
The event served as a vibrant platform for intellectual exchange, reinforcing dialogue on culture, climate, and civilization while contributing meaningfully to contemporary academic and policy discourse.
