Economics Society-ECOSQUARE
ECOSQUARE, the official society of the Department of Economics, serves as a vital platform for fostering the overall development of students in an intellectually stimulating and supportive environment. The Society plays a key role in organising a wide range of academic and co-curricular activities, including:
- ECOTREES – the department’s annual economics fest.
- Seminars featuring speakers from reputed academic and professional institutions.
- Career counselling sessions.
- Cultural events such as Freshers’ and Farewell celebrations.
Since its inception, ECOSQUARE has consistently organised the department’s annual fest without interruption, reflecting its strong commitment to student engagement and institutional tradition. The Society was established with the objective of nurturing student potential not only in academics, but also in diverse areas such as the arts, debate, leadership, and event management.
To achieve this, ECOSQUARE regularly hosts inter-college competitions and programmes such as the Youth Parliament, paper presentations, Ad-O-Mad, and various other interactive events. It also invites distinguished academicians, civil servants, thought leaders, and professionals from various domains to deliver talks and engage with students, enriching their exposure and broadening their perspectives.
