Courses Offered

As per the Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF) – 2022, implemented by the University of Delhi (DU), the courses offered include core, elective, skill-based, and ability enhancement courses.

  1. Discipline Specific Core Courses (DSC). A core course is a compulsory course. To provide in-depth knowledge and discipline-specific skills essential to the field of study.
  2. Discipline Specific Elective Courses (DSE): An elective course is a course that is to be chosen from a specified set of courses. These are elective courses that provide advanced undergraduate training in specialized areas of Economics.
  3. Generic Electives (GE): These courses, in disciplines other than Economics, are intended to broaden the training of a student in Economics Discipline.
  4. Skill Enhancement Course (SEC): These courses are designed to equip students with practical skills relevant to Economics discipline and enhance their employability, entrepreneurship, and industry readiness.
  5. Value Addition Course (VAC): These courses aim to enhance students’ personal, social, and ethical development, going beyond the traditional academic curriculum.
