Business Analytics Workshop

The Department of Commerce, Shyam Lal College Evening under the aegis of IQAC conducted a Two Days Workshop on Business Analytics on 16-17th January, 2025 in the College Computer Laboratory. The workshop got a huge response with faculty and participants from more than 20 colleges attended the workshop.

The Experts conducting the workshop, Dr. S.K. Sharma and Ms. Saumya Sharma, included a holistic approach by giving a deep theoretical understanding of the concepts in business analytics supplemented by practical hands-on applications of the concepts using computer and relevant software with examples from real life business problems and also making the participants aware of the latest trends, opportunities and challenges in the field of business and business analytics. Mentoring skills of the experts were hugely appreciated by the participants.

The workshop on day 1 started with the inaugural session in the presence of Prof. Nachiketa Singh, Principal of the College, Convenor and TIC of the Department of Commerce, Dr. Anil Kumar, Co-convenor, Dr. Manu Umesh and the members of the organising team, the inaugural session was followed by technical sessions. The workshop continued technical sessions on day 2, concluded by formal valedictory session in the presence of the entire team. Prof. Nachiketa Singh, Principal of the College stressed upon more such programs and workshop for the development of advanced skills by faculty to meet challenges of the rapid transformation happening in the field of business and education.
