Collaborations with Leading Academic Institutions, Companies and Government Funding Agencies

Shyam Lal College (Evening) has been organizing various events including National/International Conferences & Seminars since 2005 in collaboration with various academic institutions as well as companies apart from the grants received from UGC, ICSSR and ICHR.

The institution has collaborated with Central Warehousing Corporation, Central Bank of India, S.Chand Group, S.R.M. University, Gurgaon, Jetking, The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Times, Drishti and many other reputed institutions for financial as well as academic support apart from financial assistance received from University Grants Commission, ICSSR, ICHR and Ministry of New & Renewable Energy ( MNRE).

As identified by IQAC, in order to strengthen the resources of the college for augmenting teaching –learning process and increasing the employability of our students, during academic session 2016-17 :

  • College has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with T.I.M.E. for a Campus Recruitment Training (CRT) Programme to enhance the employability of our students by training them for soft skills as well as aptitude and analytical skills at a very nominal fee.  This reduced fee is exclusively offered by T.I.M.E. to SLCE students.
  • We have also signed an MOU with N.I.F.M.Ghaziabad for short term courses in capital market at reduced rate for our students.
  • College has signed MOU with Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE Institute Ltd.) for their flagship GFMP (Global Financial Market Professionals) Programme for our students. BSE has undertaken the responsibility of placing those students who enroll for this GFMP course. Classes will be held at our campus on weekends only and will be for the benefit of students from other colleges as well.
  • We have also initiated the process of collaboration with National Book Trust, MHRD, Government of India for their translation course . It is almost in final stage of getting signed.
  • There are 3-4 proposals initiated by different departments for collaboration/tie-up sand we are hoping to sign MOUs for the same in same in near future.
