Introduction:

A postgraduate with specialisation in Computer and Network Security, I have more than with 15 years of experience as an academician as well as trainer on various aspects of Computer Science. Apart from teaching in University of Delhi and its constituent colleges, I have also been associated with reputed institutes and universities like Univ. of Birmingham UK, JNU, IBS, IGNOU in various capacities such as Trainer, Tutor, Visiting Faculty, Course Content Writer and Examiner etc. Apart from academic experience, I have also handled various administrative responsibilities such as Convenor of Development Committee, Computer, Software and Website Committee, Placement cell etc. to name a few.

  

Professional Objective:

My vision is to work as a bridge for industry-academia-government. I feel that as a member of Computer Scientists community, we can help both the corporates as well as governments to evaluate, propose and implement a lot of policy related initiatives for broader and safer use of computers, especially better online citizen-centric experience. Government can also rope in researchers to strengthen its cyber-army, which would be of immense importance given the emerging scenario in cyber warfare among countries.

  

Current Profile:

  • Research Scholar in Cyber Security with School of Computer Science, University of Birmingham since September 2016. Research area : Security Protocol Verification, Stealth Attacks on Security Protocols.
  • Assistant Professor with Department of Computer Science, Shyam Lal College (Eve) (University of Delhi) since January 2009.
  • ICT Coordinator, Shyam Lal College (Eve), University of Delhi to facilitate implementation of facilities / resources provide by University of Delhi through Delhi University Computer Center (DUCC).

 

Specialization: MSc. in Computer Security

  • Completed Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Security from School of Computer Science, University of Birmingham, UK in 2013 (Sponsored by University of Delhi, India) with distinction.
  • As part of the project, worked on developing a tool CHIMP-IQ (Checkable Imperative Language for Integrity Quantification), an OCaml based tool to quantify integrity. This tool can analyse the algorithms for their integrity loss via both contamination as well as suppression in channel..
  • As part of the course, developed a Distributed Anonymous File Store (Amoeba) for secure anonymous file distribution and gathering among peer nodes.
  • Presented a report on analysis of various tools for measurement of “Quantitative Information Flow” present in the software as part of Individual Study.

  • Worked as Lecturer in Information Technology with Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (affiliated to GGSIP University) between July 2003 and July 2004.
  • Worked as Lecturer in Computer Science at Acharya Narendra Dev College (University of Delhi), Kalkaji from October 2002 till end of academic session.
